New at Owen Greaves Consulting – DISQUS Comment System

Good Day!

I have decided to try the DISQUS Commenting System on my Blog, this is in effect immediately. As with most Blog systems you want to reach and provide the best service possible, commenting is a huge part of Blogging and shouldn’t be treated lightly. I hope this new commenting system works well for Owen Greaves Consulting, but more importantly it works well for you.

Thank you for reading my Blog and I hope this system will entice you to leave more comments.

Hi, Owen. I'm interested to see what comes of this experiment. We over at Vitamin IMC are struggling with how to make the commenting system as easy as possible to invite the most interaction from readers. I agree that it most definitely should not be treated lightly. I look forward to seeing whether you stay with Disqus and hearing your likes and dislikes.

      Daniel,

I use Intense Debate and it works excellently. Very nice to look at and easy to use. I tried Disqus but found it slowed down my blog/website too much.

Tried Disqus but prefer Intense Debate. I found that Disqus slowed my sight down… ID slows it down, but not as much.

You may need to change your settings as the text is the same color as you background and therefore can't be read.

    Hi Chris,

Ya, I found the challenge on my own, it was a config thing as the system has not been tested on WordPress 2.9.1 – It would appear I'm the test : )

Hi Owen, I have been running Disqus on my blog for over 6 months now. Personally despite the pit falls of using a 3rd party app, I really like it. I looked at Intense Debate as well as several others and every time I come back to Disqus for it's flexibility, ease of of use and user friendliness.

I'm going to use it until I see a serious issue, but I like it.

Disqus has ability to import existing comments as well as export comments. I didn't lose any comments when I moved to Disqus..

Disqus is a very easy to use tool for any blogger out there. It easily indexes all your comments and it is too popular commenting plug-in
